Partner Resources
Up one level- The Duke Clinical Research Unit provides space to the DTMI Clinical Vaccine Unit to conduct in-patient studies.
- The DTRI Immune Monitoring Core Laboratory is available to analyze samples to assess subtle effects on the human immune system (immunogenicity, immunocompetence, immune reconstitution, immunotoxicity, and immunopathology)of particular importance in vaccine and immunotherapy trials.
- The Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), the world’s largest academic clinical research organization, provides multi-center clinical trial coordination capabilities.
- The Duke Primary Care Research Consortium (PCRC) is a network of family physicians, internists, and pediatrician collaborating in adult and pediatric clinical trials.
- The Duke Human Vaccine Institute supports interdisciplinary efforts across Duke to develop vaccines and therapeutics for HIV and other emerging infections.
- Southeast Regional Center of Excellence in Emerging Infections and Biodefense (SERCEB) funds the basic research to make drugs, vaccines and diagnostics to protect citizens from emerging infections such as SARS, avian influenza, dengue, and monkeypox.
Partnering the DCVU with basic scientists from the Duke Human Vaccine Institute, SERCEB, and the DTMI Immune Monitoring Core should allow for enhanced capabilities to bring pipeline vaccine products into humans earlier and allow for more rigorous scientific studies of candidate vaccines.
