The Consultant's Role


The CE consultant will work with the CTSA site to decide the best method(s) of information exchange (presentation/lecture, sit-down meeting with key personnel, etc.);

The consultant will:

The consultant should expect to spend at least 2-4 hours at the site visit for there to be benefit to the consultant and site.

The Consultant Visit


As a site preparing for a consultant visit you will need to:

  • identify the best practice with which you plan to seek consultation;
  • complete the site self-assessment form (use the log-in account information provided by Duke);
  • schedule a visit with the consultant (work with your CTSA regional coordinator as needed).

You may include other sites or institutions at the consultant visit if you so choose.

After the site visit, you will:

  • complete an evaluation of the consultant visit;
  • develop an action plan based on the consultant's recommendations.
