Biomedical Informatics Core
Up one levelThe mission of the Biomedical Informatics Core is to provide Duke researchers with the tools and support necessary to accelerate the translation of discoveries into healthcare improvements in our community and around the world. This group conducts the following activities:
- Provide systems and platforms to accelerate the translation of research
- Contribute to methodological developments within the CTSAs and Biomedical Informatics
- Combine patient care, research and -omics data at Duke
- Provide a system (DEDUCE) for researchers to easily query clinical data for de-identified population statistics
- Provide researchers and students facilitated access to powerful computational resources integrated with user friendly visualization and data management and analysis software
- Evaluate and develop tools for data collection, management, and sharing
- Develop data standards for interoperability

The DTMI-supported Duke Research Informatics & Data Resources (DRIDR) matches Duke investigators with the informatics expertise they need to handle ever-increasing amounts of research data. For data storage, management, or analysis, whether a one-time consultation, or an ongoing collaboration, DRIDR can connect you with the resources you need.
